 Moses is a prominent figure in both the Jewish and Christian religions, as well as in Islam. According to the biblical book of Exodus, he was born in Egypt during a time when the Pharaoh had ordered all male Hebrew babies to be killed. Moses' mother placed him in a basket and set him afloat on the Nile River, where he was found and adopted by the Pharaoh's daughter.

As an adult, Moses learned of his Hebrew heritage and became a leader of his people. He spoke to God in a burning bush and was commanded to lead the Hebrews out of slavery in Egypt and into the Promised Land of Canaan. With God's help, Moses performed a number of miracles, such as parting the Red Sea to allow the Hebrews to escape from the pursuing Egyptian army.
Moses also received the Ten Commandments from God on Mount Sinai, which became the foundation of Jewish law. Despite his leadership and devotion to God, Moses was not allowed to enter the Promised Land himself because he had disobeyed God's command by striking a rock to bring forth water instead of speaking to it.
Moses is remembered as a great prophet and leader in Jewish, Christian, and Islamic traditions. His story is seen as an example of how God can work through ordinary people to achieve extraordinary things, and his teachings continue to be influential to this day.
